php 5.4.6の configureオプション
php 5.4.6の configureオプションを吐き出してみました（./configure –help）。ちょっと眺めてみたかっただけです。
phpを自分でコンパイルする場合、バージョンが上がるたびにconfigureオプションを確認しないと、オプションが廃止されたり追加されたり、デフォルト値が変わっていたり、いろいろあるものです。コンパイルオプションを、前と同じ、前と同じで使いまわしていると、時代に取り残されるかもしれません。
下に書いたように、mysqlndはまだ使いたくない場合などには注意が必要ですが、phpのバージョンが上がるにつれて、指定しないといけない項目が減って、簡単になってきているように思います。
- 5.4では、mysqlndがデフォルトで使われる。–with-mysql –with-mysqli –with-pdo-mysql とだけ書いておけば、勝手にmysqlndになる。
- 5.4以降、–enable-safe-mode、–with-exec-dir は廃止。
- 5.4で日本語も扱う場合は、–enable-mbstringは指定する。でも、–enable-mbregex、–enable-mbstr-enc-trans、–enable-zend-multibyteなどは廃止されているので指定しない。
- iconvもデフォルトで有効なので、–enable-iconv は指定しない。
- –with-regexも下手に触らなくてよいので、特に意図がなければ指定しない。
- 5.3以降、FastCGIはデフォルトで有効。
- 5.2.1以降、memory-limitは常に有効。–enable-memory-limitはしなくてよい。
- 4.2.0以降、trans-sid機能は常にコンパイルされるので、–enable-trans-sidは不要。
- magic quotesは廃止。Onにしたくてもできないので古い環境からの移行は注意。
- 64ビットOSでは、–with-libdir=lib64 付けた方がよいよ。
`configure' configures this package to adapt to many kinds of systems.

By default, `make install' will install all the files in
`/usr/local/bin', `/usr/local/lib' etc. You can specify
an installation prefix other than `/usr/local' using `--prefix',
for instance `--prefix=$HOME'.

CFLAGS C compiler flags
LDFLAGS linker flags, e.g. -L if you have libraries in a
nonstandard directory
LIBS libraries to pass to the linker, e.g. -l
CPPFLAGS (Objective) C/C++ preprocessor flags, e.g. -I if
you have headers in a nonstandard directory
CPP C preprocessor
YACC The `Yet Another C Compiler' implementation to use. Defaults to
the first program found out of: `bison -y', `byacc', `yacc'.
YFLAGS The list of arguments that will be passed by default to $YACC.
This script will default YFLAGS to the empty string to avoid a
default value of `-d' given by some make applications.
CXX C++ compiler command

Use these variables to override the choices made by `configure' or to help
it to find libraries and programs with nonstandard names/locations.
